HILLINGDON Council has organised a series events for Dementia Awareness Week.
On May 18, a tea dance will be held at the Civic Centre, in High Street. To book a place, call 01895 556688. On May 19, the council will launch its ‘friends coffee morning’ weekly sessions for people living with dementia and their carers from 10am to 12.30pm. Participants will learn about local services and take part in activities to help physical and mental wellbeing. On the same day, Hillingdon Dementia Action Alliance, a group for organisations and residents, will also be launched, at 1.30pm at the Civic Centre.
