Boys’ Brigade aim for new faces

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

RUISLIP Boys’ Brigade relaunched, at South Ruislip Methodist Church earlier this month, in a bid to gain new members.

The 2nd Ruislip Boys’ Brigade Company has been in Ruislip since 1942 but had to suspend activities last year to consider their next step.

Peter Humm, captain, said: “The reason we had to close is purely down to running out of boys. We lost too many and once it went under five and they all didn’t turn up every week we decided it was time to do something different.”

The relaunch saw a joint event with the Boys and Girls’ Brigades with fun activities for children aged seven to 11 such as pool, crafts and a bouncy castle.
