A FAMILY from Ruislip is warning other animal owners after their cat was shot in the face with a pellet gun.
Stephen Davies, of Campbell Close in Ruislip, said his family were shocked by an attack on their pet Eddie, pictured below, on Monday 1 June, which left him with severe injuries. He said: “At first we thought he’d been kicked. But actually he was shot with a pellet gun that went through his nose and into his spine.
“I’m angry and ashamed that the human race could do something like this. My wife is devastated. Our other pets are upset too and keep looking for him.”
Eddie required extensive treatment from a vet in order to save him. The cost of his care is estimated to be around £4,000 after he had a CT scan, was put on a drip an stayed over two nights in a row. Mr Davies added: “He’s a family member who is loved. We just want to make people aware that some idiot is going round hurting animals.”
