Shock at shop smash

THIS was the scene af­ter a bizarre ac­ci­dent in North­wood Hills when a car re­versed into a shop win­dow.

Wit­nesses re­ported hear­ing a crash and see­ing a woman helped out of the car af­ter it em­bed­ded it­self in the en­trance to North­wood Food & Wine, in Joel Street on Satur­day night (June 13).

Wit­ness Joseph Harb, who owns the nearby Le­banese res­tau­rant, Zufa, said: “There was a noise and the se­cu­rity guard from the Wax night­club ran over. He took the girl out of the car, she was pretty shaken.”

Shan Ram, owner of Space Su­per­mar­ket, added: “Quite a crowd gath­ered around af­ter­wards and were tak­ing pic­tures. I was shocked about what hap­pened and wor­ried about the staff, but I heard they’re okay.”

Po­lice were called to the in­ci­dent and taped off the crash area.
