Shock at shop smash
THIS was the scene after a bizarre accident in Northwood Hills when a car reversed into a shop window.
Witnesses reported hearing a crash and seeing a woman helped out of the car after it embedded itself in the entrance to Northwood Food & Wine, in Joel Street on Saturday night (June 13).
Witness Joseph Harb, who owns the nearby Lebanese restaurant, Zufa, said: “There was a noise and the security guard from the Wax nightclub ran over. He took the girl out of the car, she was pretty shaken.”
Shan Ram, owner of Space Supermarket, added: “Quite a crowd gathered around afterwards and were taking pictures. I was shocked about what happened and worried about the staff, but I heard they’re okay.”
Police were called to the incident and taped off the crash area.
