Steal­ing mem­o­ries is soul de­stroy­ing

IT IS good the way peo­ple have come to­gether to re­place pen­sioner Lionel Lake’s stolen money but it is some­thing which should never hap­pened in the first place.

A good friend found out how LOUISE Frewin snapped this photo of a para­keet en­joy­ing a tasty snack in her gar­den at Beech­wood Av­enue, Hilling­don on May 16.

It is one of around eight who nest nearby and visit the gar­den

dis­tress­ing and soul de­stroy­ing it is to be bro­ken into es­pe­cially if they know the cul­prits and it’s not al­ways money but sen­ti­men­tal jew­ellery,

photos, tributes to lost loved ones which are worth lit­tle to strangers but in­valu­able to be­reaved peo­ple – help­ing them ex­press feel­ings,
