Har­ling­ton hit top form BOWLS

HAR­LING­TON bowlers en­joyed two wins out of three this week.

Friendly matches they might have been, but it is al­ways good for con­fi­dence and Har­ling­ton will be in high spir­its af­ter this trio of matches.

J Ful­brook, S Cut­more and D An­der­son got them off to the best pos­si­ble start in a 47-43 tri­umph over Stan­well.

They dou­bled up with a 107-102 win over Home­field Park and were one shot away from mak­ing it a tre­ble vic­tory as they slipped to a 50-49 loss to Rich­ings Park.

In the Vet­eran’s League Di­vi­sion One there were defeats for East­cote and North­wood while Lady­gate’s gane was rained off. Ruis­lip Bs drew with Cen­tury Bs in Di­vi­sion Three. OSH­WAL NW broke their Wem­b­ley & Har­row Ta­ble Ten­nis League duck this week but still took a 4-1 beat­ing by Vagabonds.

Low­lands B had a sur­prise 3-2 win over a strong East­cote A team of Gerry Hawkins and Tony Dias, with Ken Lee win­ning both his sin­gles.

Ken­ton B also caused an up­set against the pre­vi­ously un­beaten Low­lands A team win­ning 3-2. Terun De­sai from Di­vi­sion Four played with a Di­vi­sion Two hand­i­cap and helped Les Sa­muels win the dou­bles.

IFS­port won the top of the ta­ble clash against Ken­ton who found them­selves 4-0 down af­ter the sin­gles but man­aged to win the dou­bles to cut the deficit to 1-4. ICK­EN­HAM Youth U14s are cel­e­brat­ing a dou­ble tri­umph af­ter claim­ing the Mid­dle­sex FA Re­spect Award and the League Re­spect Award.

The club marked the oc­ca­sion with a pre­sen­ta­tion at Uxbridge Golf Club and thanked Heidi and Dave Sher­wood for rais­ing more than £10,000 to­wards new fa­cil­i­ties.

Ick­en­ham are look­ing for an U16s man­ager and coach for the new 2015-16 sea­son.
