Visit marks release of film
SHOPPERS had a menacing encounter with a life sized T-Rex at intu Uxbridge on Sunday.
The realistic-looking dinosaur was let loose in the shopping centre to celebrate the release of the latest Jurassic Park movie Jurassic World at the weekend.
Youngsters posed for photos with the creature and were offered the chance to take part in dinosaur theme arts and crafts activities.
intu Uxbridge is showing the film at its IMAX screen, with tickets on sale for £6 at ww w. o d e o n . c o . u k / Uxbridge.
Marketing manager Craig Higgins said: “Our giant T-rex definitely gave visitors a fright. The new movie is definitely a must-see for any film fan, especially on our fantastic IMAX screen here at intu Uxbridge.”
This weekend the shopping centre is marking Father’s Day with a Giant Digital Scalextric competition for dads.
It is also inviting people to post photos of themselves and their dads on the intu Uxbridge Facebook page by Friday, with the best one being picked to receive a £100 gift card.
