Mayor bounces to the aid of KIDS campaign
BORIS Johnson proved that even if you have to manage one of the largest cities in the world, there is still time to act like a big kid.
The London mayor gamely tried out a space hopper on Tuesday, June 23 as he helped to launch the KIDS campaign, which aims to raise vital funds for disabled children and young people.
Mr Johnson, also the Uxbridge & South Ruislip MP, is promoting the Big Spacehop Challenge to raise funds.
He said: “I’m pleased to be supporting this exciting campaign on behalf of KIDS. They provide care and support to thousands of disabled children and young people and are a lifeline to families across the country, including more than 3,000 in our capital city.
“I’m urging everyone to get behind this campaign and get KIDS.”
The Big Spacehop Challenge race takes place in London this September and anyone can register to take part in the fundraiser at www.kids.org.uk.
