Con­cert cel­e­brates 50 years of Hilling­don Bor­ough

A GALA con­cert will take place on Satur­day July 18 to celebrate 50 years of Hilling­don Bor­ough.

The Hilling­don Phil­har­monic Or­ches­tra will take the stage at Brunel Univer­sity joined by choirs and mu­si­cians from around the bor­ough.

The con­cert will also in­clude a se­lec­tion of fa­mous mu­si­cal pieces from Tchaikovsky’s Eu­gene One­gin and Mozart’s Magic Flute.

The Brunel Bar­ber­shop Group will ad­di­tion­ally per­form a se­lec­tion of acap­pella songs.

Prior to the per­for­mance, a scripted en­ter­tain­ment will take place fea­tur­ing lo­cal peo­ple, cel­e­brat­ing the bor­ough as a place to live and work. Hilling­don Bor­ough was formed in 1965, with the coat of arms granted on March 22 of the same year.
