Concert celebrates 50 years of Hillingdon Borough
A GALA concert will take place on Saturday July 18 to celebrate 50 years of Hillingdon Borough.
The Hillingdon Philharmonic Orchestra will take the stage at Brunel University joined by choirs and musicians from around the borough.
The concert will also include a selection of famous musical pieces from Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Mozart’s Magic Flute.
The Brunel Barbershop Group will additionally perform a selection of acappella songs.
Prior to the performance, a scripted entertainment will take place featuring local people, celebrating the borough as a place to live and work. Hillingdon Borough was formed in 1965, with the coat of arms granted on March 22 of the same year.
