Shooting star Elaine
A MUSICAL theatre star came to Northwood to help raise thousands of pounds for a children’s charity.
Elaine Paige OBE, the first lady of British musical theatre who has starred in Cats, Evita, Chess and many others, hosted The Elaine Paige Clay Pigeon Shoot at Holland & Holland premier shooting ground.
She was joined by television presenters Nicholas Owen and Adrian Mills, Arnold Crook, chairman of Theatre Royal Haymarket as well as 40 clay pigeon shooting enthusiasts.
Altogether they raised £10,500 for The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injuries.
Elaine Paige, who has been an ambassador for The Children’s Trust for 30 years, said: “It’s theth sixthi th clayl pigeoni shoot that I have hosted and they’re always a great day, with a nice lunch and champagne reception. The people that take part not only enjoy the shoot, but also know that they are helping to raise money for a very special charity.”
The clay pigeon shoot took place on Thursday June 4.
