Lowlands battle IFSport
IT IS NOW a two-horse race as the battle for the right to challenge IFSport for the Wembley & Harrow Table Tennis League title after Eastcote outfit Lowlands A knocked Kenton A out of the running.
Adam Johnson got Kenton off to a perfect start by beating the previously undefeated Kevin Hill.
But thanks to a hat-trick from Radovan Živkovic, Lowlands won the last four matches to keep themselves in the race for silverware.
Leaders IFSport did exactly what they had to do in beating Lowlands B 5-0, Jaydeep Jintendra and John Toloton remaining unbeaten and taking the leaders to within a whisker of the title.
With one week remaining, though, they have a week off, so Lowlands A know that they have to beat Eastcote A 5-0 to take the crown.
Oshwal NW won their first match 3-2 against Eastcote B. Sarit and Saumeet Shah joined together to win the doubles to clinch the match.
Vagabonds are enjoying a really strong finish to the competition. Last week they beat Eastcote B 4-1 and this week they handed out the same scoreline to Eastcote A with a maximum from Anthony Herman with good support from Jeet Tailor.
