Hilling­don young­sters take Ro­tary ti­tle

HILLING­DON U10s fin­ished as cham­pi­ons at the 16th an­nual Ro­tary Club of Uxbridge ‘Eborn Pratt’ five-a-side football tour­na­ment at Rock­ing­ham Recre­ation ground.

The U10s de­feated Break­s­pear School 2-0 in the fi­nal of the tour­na­ment to lift the tro­phy thanks to strikes from Bran­don Charles and Har­ri­son Dudziak.

The rest of the team in­cluded Luca Lom­bardi, Sammi Lewis, Har­ley Tan­ner and Sa­muel Manu­for as Hilling­don started the sum­mer in style. Mean­while, in the U12s age group, Sandgate emerged vic­to­ri­ous af­ter de­feat­ing Sandgate Colts 6-1 in the fi­nal, thanks to a hat-trick from Shokrola Amiri. His tre­ble came along­side strikes from Daniel Boswell, Avishek Luch­mum and Cameron Brook­field.

Jorge O’Con­nell made up the side, who man­aged to wrap up tour­na­ment vic­tory with­out a nat­u­ral goal­keeper in the side.

The Eborn Pratt tour­na­ment is a com­mu­nity tour­na­ment with free en­try for all teams of boys and/or girls, and was hosted in as­so­ci­a­tion with Waterloo Road Church.
