Hear­ing in £50k credit card fraud case

A MAN ac­cused of spend­ing nearly £50,000 on cloned credit cards has ap­peared in court.

Mah­yar Ba­hamani, of Larch Cres­cent, Yead­ing, had pre­vi­ously de­nied 25 charges of fraud by false rep­re­sen­ta­tion at Westminster Mag­is­trates’ Court.

He ap­peared at South­wark Crown Court for a case man­age­ment hear­ing on July 16. The 28-year-old is al­leged to have com­mit­ted a string of frauds worth £49,143, over a six-month pe­riod be­tween April and Septem­ber last year. The case was ad­journed un­til Oc­to­ber 1 for a plea and case man­age­ment hear­ing, with Ba­hamani granted con­di­tional bail.
