Fundraiser in memory of Junior

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

A FAMILY fun day is taking place on Saturday at Wealdstone FC in memory of a seven-yearold boy who died from a brain stem tumour.

Lorraine Bradbury from Ruislip, with help from friends, is organising the event in memory of her son, Paul Speck Jnr, who would have celebrated his 21st birthday this year.

The fundraiser will run from noon to 6.30pm, with a bouncy castle, a barbecue, a DJ, facepainting, and a nail bar with proceeds going to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Ms Bradbury said: “It’s for his 21st as my other kids all got cars and big items but he’s not here. So we’ll give Great Ormond Street what we were going to give him. Jnr’s the only person I’ve ever lost and GOSH is the only hospital I’ve ever had dealings with. They were very good to me, they let me stay and brought me food. They’d call me if I had to go home.”

The football club has allowed use of the field, hall and bar for the event.
