Man crit­i­cal af­ter fall from bridge

PASSERS-BY were alarmed af­ter a man fell from a pedes­trian bridge in Uxbridge.

The man, be­lieved to be in his mid-20s, was taken to an east Lon­don hos­pi­tal af­ter the fall on Mon­day last week where his con­di­tion was de­scribed as ‘crit­i­cal but sta­ble’.

Lon­don’s Air Am­bu­lance and po­lice were de­ployed to Trumper Way at 6.50pm af­ter the man fell from the pedes­trian bridge which con­nects to Pavil­ions shop­ping cen­tre.

An eye­wit­ness saw a tent erected by po­lice near the Crown Walk bus stop and queues of traf­fic.

No ar­rests were made in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dent.
