College offers chance to be next gaming sensation on new course
ASPIRING video games designers or wannabe special effects wizards can soon get a career start at Uxbridge College from next month.
The College in Park Road is launching a diploma in games, animation and VFX skills for students aged 16 and over, which will be comparable to three A-Levels.
From creating visual effects for the latest TV or movie blockbuster to developing the next videogame sensation, students will be given all the tools they need to become the next generation of makers, the college says.
Zulf Choudhry, head of computing and IT, added: “We’re delighted to be one of the first colleges in England to offer this new two-year course.
“A whole new suite of facilities with the latest technology will be available to students.”
Anyone wishing to enrolll will need five GSCEs including English languagee and Maths at grades A*-C.
