Happy home rating is ‘too silly for comment’

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

COULD Hillingdon really be one of the most miserable places to live in the UK?

A survey by the property website Rightmove ranks the borough a lowly 122 out of 130, just ahead of neighbouring Harrow, Brent and Hounslow.

The 2015 Happy at Home Index asked nearly 25,000 people to rate their home on 12 criteria ranging from decor and space to community and safety. West London boroughs unsurprisingly rate poorly for space, with Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Hounslow, and Hammersmith & Fulham all in the bottom 10.

Asked whether they liked their area, respondents placed Hillingdon 120th and in the bottom 10 for recreational facilities,

Hillingdon Council leader, Cllr Ray Puddifoot dismissed the survey as “so silly it’s not even worthy of comment”.
