Boris welcomed for tour of school
BORIS Johnson joined Abbotsfield School for “Friday favourite” of fish and chips and a game of football.
The Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP tucked into his lunch in the dining hall before visiting the site where the new school will be built in September.
The visit before the school broke up for the summer finished with a tour of lessons after lunch including a Year 7 class studying Charles Dickens, Year 12 Pure Mathematics and the school’s Art Gallery.
Mark Bland, headteacher at Abbotsfield, said: “It was great to welcome our visitors and show them what a great school Abbotsfield is, they were very impressed by how well-mannered the boys were and by how enthusiastic and focused they were in lessons.” Mr Johnson was joined by Hillingdon Council leader Ray Puddifoot and Cllr Wayne Bridges.
