Beds in shed affect out quality of life

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION - PETER ROMERO Pinglestone Close, Harmondsworth

WHERE we live in Harmondsworth there are beds in sheds.

I have reported this to the local council and as yet they have failed to do anything about it, it seems that they cannot do anything as its been over a time where they cannot enforce the law.

I cannot tell you how much it has affected our own quality of life, I’m concerned for my next door neighbour who is elderly and retired, the vulnerable have been affected.

It also has an effect on the rest of society since the residents have not registered and are not liable to pay any tax. I’m aghast the council has not done anything about this and also the facts show they have totally just let this happen so openly.

Just today I had a confrontation with one landlord as the pathway that leads to my parking is blocked by a contractor who is installing new cupboards in the shed/garage.

I’m totally bewildered how on earth the London borough of Hillingdon let them get away for so long.
