Daydreams and miniskirts

all those expense fiddling, prostitute using, backhander receiving, child sex abusing and drug taking members of the political Establishment.

There are more corrupt and dangerous politicians than there are police officers. LAST week Barbara Fisher asked for our memories of Cilla.

Mine are probably the same as those shared by many girls brought

up in the sixties.

Skipping rope in hand and a pair of mum’s old dancing shoes on our feet we were preparing for an appearance on Top of the Pops, no abbreviations in those days.

Cilla, Lulu, Dusty Springfield and Sandie Shaw did nothing more outrageous than go barefoot and wear mini skirts, although that was very daring.

And of course we all had our favourite Beatle, I always wanted to marry George Harrison.

Of course without an iPad, iPhone etc we had plenty of time to daydream something people say they don’t, have time for. What a pity!
