Colour Dash a bright idea to help hospice
Entrants in 5km run to be pelted with bags of paint
MICHAEL Sobell Hospice Colour Dash is set to brighten up Uxbridge.
Entrants will be covered in coloured paint during the run on Sunday, September 27, beginning at noon.
The event, a fun-filled walk, run or dance around a 5km route, will take place at Hillingdon House Farm Sports Ground, in Uxbridge.
Entrants will wear white and be pelted with a different colour at various colour stations along the course of the route.
By the time they reach the end, the runners will be covered head to toe with a rainbow of colours.
Spectators will be able to buy bags of colour to throw at the runners in specific locations during the run.
Director of income generation at Michael Sobell Hospice, Melanie Burfitt, said: “We hope that all the local community will get involved in this exciting and colourful event, which will raise much needed funds to help people with life-limiting illnesses.”
There will be a ‘summer sign-up special” price for registration of £12.50 throughout August. From Tuesday, September 1, the registration fee will be £20 for adults and £12.50 for 11 to 17 year-olds and students.
The registration fee includes a white T-shirt and sunglasses.
