Have you got what it takes to be a BMX-er?
ARE you daring enough to have a go at an extreme sport?
If you’re up for trying something new, pay a visit to the Hayes BMX Club annual open day, which is free for all.
The BMX Club was established in 1981, and is one of the largest and most successful BMX racing clubs in London.
The open day will run from 12-4pm at the track at Lake Farm Country Park Dawley Road, Hayes.
Scott Dick, Club Chairman, hopes the open day will encourage families and the young children to come down and see what the club is all about and have a go at BMX Racing.
He said: “This Open Day is all about fun and learning a new sport all rolled into one.
“BMX Racing has boomed since the London Olympics and this is a way to get into an exciting sport.
“We will have fully qualified Coaches on hand to support any new riders and we also can supply all the equipment needed, inc bikes, helmets and gloves.
“All you need to do is turn up at 12pm with long sleeve tops and long trousers, ideally jeans.”
Hayes BMX Club is a not for profit organisation and their aim is to develop, organise and promote BMX racing in the London Borough of Hillingdon and other surrounding areas.
The day will also have bouncy castles, food, drink and music to enjoy.
