It is now time to act

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION - SANDY WILLS Holmwood

TOO many people are fleeing persecution and war into the hands of traffickers, dangerous paths and death.

If the recent images of children’s bodies washed up on beaches isn’t enough to make you act now, then I don’t know what will. It is our moral duty to help those in need, especially when they are seeking a safer and better life in Europe.

We have the space and the money to let more refugees into our nation and give them a safe place to call home. Please contact David Cameron today and ask him directly: don’t let any more drownings happen. This is a humanitarian crisis and we cannot sit by and let more people die. We need to call on local politicians to pressure the government into taking more Syrian refugees into the UK.
