Get in gear and tow this car away
ANYONE who wants to grow the borough’s biggest tomato will have to ketch-up!
This impressive specimen was cultivated by Patricia Barker in her garden at Harvey HAVING an abandoned car outside your house is no fun.
For the past six weeks, since 2am on July 6th we have had a Vauxhall Meriva parked outside our house, since then, it hasn’t turned a wheel.
Carrying out an online DVLA check revealed that although taxed until the end of this month, the MOT expired on July 8.
Both the police and Hillingdon Council have been notified of its
presence. Neither seem bothered by the fact that because the MOT has expired, the car is uninsured.
Checking the VIN (vehicle identification number) online indicates that the car is not stolen.
Do we have to wait, with this car parked outside our house for another three weeks, until the tax expires, before either Hillingdon Council or the police might condescend to contact the owner or do something about removing it?
