Head to the big top
NETHERLANDS National Circus has arrived in Eastcote this week and promises acts from all over the world.
It will be hosted by Yasmine Smart, the granddaughter of famous circus promoter Billy Smart, who promises to take audiences to “another world”.
She said: “It’s a very fast-moving show and we’ve got everything for all ages.
“I’m there at the beginning greeting people as they come in, and when they come in they think ‘wow’. There’s a special atmosphere that you can only create in the tent not in a building.”
The show includes a flying trapeze act from Australia, clowns from Spain and Italy, an illusion act from France and many other neverbefore-seen acts in England, including a live orchestra.
The circus is at Field End Road Recreation Ground in Eastcote now until October 18.
