Tem­ple buzzes with Navrati fes­ti­val

SHREE Ad­hya Shakti Mataji Tem­ple buzzed with VIPs dur­ing cel­e­bra­tions of the nine­day In­dian fes­ti­val of Navra­tri last week.

The tem­ple in High Street, Cow­ley, wel­comed Hilling­don mayor Ge­orge Cooper, his wife may­oress Ju­dith Cooper, coun­cil­lor Roy Cham­dall and Bruce Houl­der, rep­re­sen­ta­tive deputy lieu­tenant for Hilling­don on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 22. Mu­si­cians and dancers com­peted and the guests were ‘gar­landed’ be­fore the mayor was in­vited to light the can­dle of peace.

Later in the evening a cake do­nated by The Cake box was shared.

A tem­ple spokes­woman said: “This year’s was one of the most mem­o­rable ones so far and unique in all ways.”
