Fuel spills onto road after collision
A LORRY crashed into a bollard in Hayes on Friday, October 23, sending some 200 litres of fuel spilling onto the road.
Firefighters were called to Pump Lane near to the junction with Coldharbour Lane at about 11.15am.
A spokesman said: “It appeared an articulated lorry was in collision with a bollard and leaked approximately 200 litres of diesel.”
Pump Lane and Little Road were both closed while the mess was mopped up and Hillingdon Council later tweeted that the vehicle and the fuel had been removed, and both roads reopened, by 2.30pm.
No one is believed to have been injured, according to the London Fire Brigade.
