Dickens cracker to grace stage
Scrooge marks start of festive season
IF YOU need proof that the festive season is just around the corner then look no further than Winston Churchill Hall.
The venue in Pinn Way, Ruislip, is gearing up for an all singing, all dancing version of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.
The timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge – a mean old miser who is shown the error of his ways by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future – will be brought to life by local theatre company WOS Productions.
Director Damien Saul has been putting the cast through their paces since early summer to make the show a huge success.
He said: “I was asked to take on Scrooge the Musical back in April, and instantly knew it would be an exciting challenge.
“Rehearsals have been progressing well, and the cast have been working really hard to perfect their acting, singing and dancing talents to help create my vision for the show.
“It needs to be very dramatic, but at the same time it still needs to retain that element of fun, and we have certainly had plenty of that rehearsals.”
Tickets to the shows on November 18-21 are £15 for adults (£9 for children) and a family ticket is £40.
Show times are Wednesday to Saturday at 7.30pm plus a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
