Have a say on change to schools ad­mis­sion

HILLING­DON Coun­cil is ap­peal­ing for feed­back about pro­posed changes to school ad­mis­sions.

The coun­cil would like to know how changes may af­fect fam­i­lies to en­sure opin­ions are con­sid­ered. An on­line ques­tion­naire can be com­pleted un­til Jan­uary 10.

Deputy Leader and Cabi­net Mem­ber for Ed­u­ca­tion and Chil­dren’s Ser­vices, Coun­cil­lor David Sim­monds said: “We want to in­crease the op­por­tu­nity for lo­cal fam­i­lies to ac­cess lo­cal school places.”

The coun­cil has worked with Hillingon schools for five years to de­liver a school ex­pan­sion pro­gramme to en­sure ev­ery child liv­ing in Hilling­don can ob­tain a school place as near home as pos­si­ble.
