Teen stabbed at rush hour

A MUR­DER in­ves­ti­ga­tion has been launched af­ter a teenager was fa­tally stabbed in West Ruis­lip on Mon­day evening (Novem­ber 9).

Po­lice were called to High Road, Ick­en­ham, at 5.35pm fol­low­ing re­ports of a stab­bing.

The Lon­don Am­bu­lance Ser­vice were called and an 18-year-old male was treated at the scene be­fore he later died at a west Lon­don hospi­tal. He is the thir­teenth teenager to be fa­tally stabbed in the cap­i­tal this year.

A man in his 20s was ar­rested and taken to a west Lon­don po­lice sta­tion for ques­tion­ing.

The vic­tim’s next of kin have been in­formed and a post-mortem ex­am­i­na­tion is due to take place.

High Road, Ick­en­ham, re­mained closed be­tween West Ruis­lip Tube Sta­tion and Ayl­sham Drive as the Gazette went to press on Tues­day.
