Faith groups welcome visitors to increase understanding
FAITH groups in Hillingdon are opening their doors for a week of events until November 29.
National Inter Faith week also aims to raise recognition of different communities throughout the UK, to celebrate contributions made to the wider society and to increase better understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs.
There will be a variety of activities taking place and faith leaders will welcome visitors to their places of worships.
Swakeleys school will also be involved as it holds its termly interfaith workshops.
The school will discuss present issues and will be joined by students of different backgrounds from across the borough.
Cabinet member for community, commerce and regeneration, Cllr Douglas Mills, said: “This is a chance to open up faith activity to a wider audience and also highlight the good work that is being done to bring together people from different backgrounds across the borough.”
