Support our shops and help the pets

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

EVERY year here at the Middlesex North West Branch of the RSPCA we help over 2,000 pets in need. This can range from taking stray, abandoned or neglected animals into our care and providing them with any veterinary treatment they need then finding them a new home through to just helping someone cover the cost of veterinary care their pet needs but they can’t afford.

As you can guess this all costs a lot of money, this year we expect our animal welfare costs to be close to £300,000 and this takes a lot of effort to raise.

Most of our funds for our animal welfare work come from our eight charity shops and you can support our work by visiting our local shops.

Over the next week we have a number of events on in the different high streets where our shops are located so this is a great opportunity for you to pop along and get some bargains for Christmas.

Tomorrow evening is the annual Pinner Panto night with our shop in Love Lane open through the evening. At 5pm the Mayor will open the festivities by turning on the lights of the Pinner Christmas tree and then there is lots going on in the town centre right through to the fireworks finale at 8.15pm in the Memorial Park.

Following this on Friday is the Rickmansworth Christmas late night where again our shop will be open through the day and till late.

Once again there will be all sorts of stalls and activity for the family so why not come along if you live locally and make it a night out for the family. We will have a fun tombola in a stall outside our shop mid-way up the high street to raise funds for our work.

At this everyone will win a prize. Then to finish the week on Saturday there is the Ruislip Family Day with lots of activity all along the High Street.

At our shop at 66 High Street we will have free snacks, a raffle with tickets on sale throughout the day, a lucky dip as well as lots of new stock in the shop for you to buy.

So why not make a date in your diary for one of these events and get along to our shops or stalls and support our work while having some family fun.

If you can’t make it along to any of these events but would like to support our work you can make a donation by post (send to: RSPCA Middlesex North West Branch, 114 Field End Road, Eastcote, Middlesex HA5 1RL), by phone – call us on (020) 8429 5604, or visit our website at; www. rspca-middle to make a donation online.
