Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

YOUNG musicians gave their audience an out of this world experience when they performed for the local community.

Members of the senior orchestra from Haydon School in Pinner entertained at Northwood Hills Library last month playing Jupiter from Holst’s Planet Suite and Elgar’s famous Pomp and Circumstance.

The 16 musicians played for 40 minutes to raise money for the local poppy appeal on November 6 just ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Music teacher Rosalind Hamlin said: “The event was excellent; the students played brilliantly and the local people who came to watch were full of praise for the talent and dedication of the students involved.”
