Rat spot­ted on flight to UK

A FLIGHT head­ing for the UK from In­dia had to turn back af­ter a rat was seen on board, ac­cord­ing to pas­sen­gers.

Air In­dia Flight AI 131 was head­ing to Heathrow Air­port from Mum­bai on De­cem­ber 30 when the ro­dent was spot­ted.

Staff were re­port­edly alerted while the plane was trav­el­ling over Iran. The plane turned back and a re­place­ment was ar­ranged for pas­sen­gers while the plane was fu­mi­gated.

Rats have the abil­ity to cause me­chan­i­cal prob­lems on flights by chew­ing through wires.
