U15s star got half of West Drayton’s goals in memorable win
EASTCOTE Hockey Club’s Ladies teams resumed their campaigns this week and came back with four wins out of five for their efforts.
The first XI led the way with a gritty 3-2 victory over Maidenhead’s second string to grab three points and consolidate their mid-table position in South League 3A.
Gee’s sensational scoring spree came as part of a memorable 14-0 triumph for the teenagers against Beaconsfield Holtspur.
Emmanuel McCalmon was not far behind with a hat-trick and there were two goals each for Dylan Giger and Ted O’Brien.
Explorers’ U7s Blues scrapped for a 4-2 win over a tough Chalfont Saints side.
Kennedy Kithinji hit a brace and Joshua Onyedum and Daniel
Claire Devereaux hit a trademark opener early in the game and held the lead until the break.
The second half was a roller coaster as Maidenhead equalised before Anita Huntely regained the lead from Eastcote from close range. It looked as if the Reds would extend their lead but then conceded a short corner that was Mickale got the other two.
It was easier work for the U7s Reds as they beat Boyne Hill 101, with goals from Odierio Brand (2), Sean Sheehan (2), Rubén converted remaining.
The game flowed back and forth, with chances for both teams, but the win went to Eastcote with a clinical strike from the top of the D by Annabelle Field.
Eastcote Ladies seconds beat
minutes Lury (2), Cairo Jones, Harry Macfayden, Aleks Kovalenko and Rounak Bogale. He did not get on the scoresheet, but the man of the match gong went to Dominic Goncalves.
Nico Martucci’s double blast and a Natal Ermias strike saw the U9s Purples beat Thames Valley Whites 3-1. Gustave Dursham was the key player.
Explorers’ U10s had a good 5-1 win against Burnham Junior Whites 5-1. The goalscorers were Jake Pickett (2), Reece Butler, Ranvier Jamgotre and Godwin Usifo.
Rayyan Murray (2), Joseph Davies, Cian Johnson and Luca Martucci were on target as the U11s Reds beat George Green 5-0. Man of the match went to Aldo Laci. Ashford 2-0 , the thirds won 2-1 at West Hampstead and there was a 7-0 win for the fourths against Winchmore Hill & Enfield.
The men return to league action next week, but Eastcote’s two veteran teams were in action as the Old Boars played out a 3-3 draw against Old Georgians and the Past Masters were beaten 2-1 by Reading.
Elsewhere, West Drayton Youth FC’s U8s and U16s braved the weather to pull of a couple of great wins this week,
The U8s made it 12 wins from 12 with a hard fought 10-4 win over Foxes Whites. Mason Williams led the way with five, Dylan Martin hit four and Alfie Lane also notched. Dane Ward, Josh Sibley, Jayden Osei Tu Tu and Brandon Keen made up the rest of the squad.
West Drayton’s U16s edged out London Athletic 4-2 as Henry Harris scored twice and Alex Hyseni and Smylie Nepali finished the job.
