U15s star got half of West Dray­ton’s goals in mem­o­rable win

EAST­COTE Hockey Club’s Ladies teams re­sumed their cam­paigns this week and came back with four wins out of five for their ef­forts.

The first XI led the way with a gritty 3-2 vic­tory over Maiden­head’s se­cond string to grab three points and con­sol­i­date their mid-ta­ble po­si­tion in South League 3A.

Gee’s sen­sa­tional scor­ing spree came as part of a mem­o­rable 14-0 tri­umph for the teenagers against Bea­cons­field Holt­spur.

Em­manuel McCal­mon was not far be­hind with a hat-trick and there were two goals each for Dy­lan Giger and Ted O’Brien.

Ex­plor­ers’ U7s Blues scrapped for a 4-2 win over a tough Chal­font Saints side.

Kennedy Kithinji hit a brace and Joshua Onye­dum and Daniel

Claire Dev­ereaux hit a trade­mark opener early in the game and held the lead un­til the break.

The se­cond half was a roller coaster as Maiden­head equalised be­fore Anita Hun­tely re­gained the lead from East­cote from close range. It looked as if the Reds would ex­tend their lead but then con­ceded a short cor­ner that was Mickale got the other two.

It was eas­ier work for the U7s Reds as they beat Boyne Hill 101, with goals from Odierio Brand (2), Sean Shee­han (2), Rubén con­verted re­main­ing.

The game flowed back and forth, with chances for both teams, but the win went to East­cote with a clin­i­cal strike from the top of the D by Annabelle Field.

min­utes Lury (2), Cairo Jones, Harry Mac­fay­den, Aleks Kovalenko and Rounak Bo­gale. He did not get on the score­sheet, but the man of the match gong went to Do­minic Gon­calves.

Nico Mar­tucci’s dou­ble blast and a Na­tal Er­mias strike saw the U9s Pur­ples beat Thames Val­ley Whites 3-1. Gus­tave Dur­sham was the key player.

Ex­plor­ers’ U10s had a good 5-1 win against Burn­ham Ju­nior Whites 5-1. The goalscor­ers were Jake Pick­ett (2), Reece But­ler, Ran­vier Jam­gotre and God­win Usifo.

Rayyan Mur­ray (2), Joseph Davies, Cian John­son and Luca Mar­tucci were on tar­get as the U11s Reds beat Ge­orge Green 5-0. Man of the match went to Aldo Laci. Ash­ford 2-0 , the thirds won 2-1 at West Hamp­stead and there was a 7-0 win for the fourths against Winch­more Hill & En­field.

The men re­turn to league ac­tion next week, but East­cote’s two vet­eran teams were in ac­tion as the Old Boars played out a 3-3 draw against Old Ge­or­gians and the Past Masters were beaten 2-1 by Read­ing.

Else­where, West Dray­ton Youth FC’s U8s and U16s braved the weather to pull of a cou­ple of great wins this week,

The U8s made it 12 wins from 12 with a hard fought 10-4 win over Foxes Whites. Ma­son Wil­liams led the way with five, Dy­lan Martin hit four and Al­fie Lane also notched. Dane Ward, Josh Si­b­ley, Jay­den Osei Tu Tu and Bran­don Keen made up the rest of the squad.

West Dray­ton’s U16s edged out Lon­don Ath­letic 4-2 as Henry Har­ris scored twice and Alex Hy­seni and Smylie Nepali fin­ished the job.
