Ron’s now sitting pretty

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

RON Taylor from Cowley might be something of a rarity at the moment – a happy Manchester United supporter.

Although his team is under performing the 72-year-old is pleased to be able to watch the football in a new fireside chair from the disabled charity HAD (Hertfordshire Action on Disability).

Mr Taylor, who has a trapped nerve in his back, was one of the first customers through the doors of HAD’s mobility equipment centre in nearby Yiewsley at the end of last year.

Before buying his chair Ron received a free assessment from HAD occupational therapist Chris Bellia and trusted assessor Cherie West.

He said: “The service I got was first class – professional and thorough. I was measured and checked to ensure the chair was right for me and this made a big difference.”

Mr Taylor, who has been married to his wife Barbara for 45 years, and has supported Manchester United since 1958.
