Nurse launches her book about alcoholic mum at Waterstone’s
NURSE Phyllis Whitsell will be at Uxbridge Waterstones next week to celebrate the launch of her book, Finding Tipperary Mary.
The book, which is co-authored by Gazette columnist Barbara Fisher, tells the remarkable true story of how Phyllis tracked down the alcoholic mother who gave her up for adoption many years earlier.
She went on to spend nine years
The Uxbridge Gazette Series nursing her mother until her death, without ever revealing her true identity.
Barbara, who befriended Phyllis several years ago, encouraged her to share her story.
They will be at Waterstones Uxbridge, 240a The Chimes Shopping Centre (intu Uxbridge) on Monday February 15 at noon, the day Finding Tipperary Mary is released.
