Rescue pets learn to ‘sit’ in comfort
Donation of new comfy chairs are helping dogs stay warm and cosy in their kennels
THE latest donation to help dogs at a Harefield re-homing centre has ‘sofa’ been well received.
A selection of comfy chairs were anonymously donated to the Dogs Trust Harefield and the rehoming centre’s fourlegged friends have been putting them to good use.
Richard Moore, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Harefield, said: “Our dogs love to keep warm and cosy in their kennels and these armchairs provide some extra special home comforts for them.
“We are incredibly grateful for these donations as they will go a long way towards making life more comfortable for the dogs in our care as they await loving new homes.”
Staff have loved watching them snuggle down to rest their paws on the sofa after a busy day and now hope they will soon be claiming a sofa in a loving home of their own.
“The chairs have definitely helped some of our longer-term residents enjoy some home comforts which will help prepare them for life in a new home when the time comes,” said Mr Moore.
“We hope the chairs will turn the heads of prospective owners when they come to visit and help people imagine our dogs curled up in their own home!”
Dogs Trust Harefield currently has 60 dogs all looking for loving homes. If you can home a dog, please call the re-homing centre on 0300 303 0292 or visit Highway Farm, Harvil Road, Harefield, Uxbridge, UB9 6JW.
