Some turned away as woman collapsed

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION -

SOMETHING happened recently that caused me to question people’s attitudes towards their fellow countryman.

A lady had collapsed at the bus stop on Swakeleys Road in Ickenham on Friday, January 29.

I saw motorists and passers-by ignoring the lady, who was unconscious and one local resident refused to even call for the ambulance stating that the person was probably under the influence of alcohol.

I am truly grateful for the assistance from people that came to the lady’s aid. By the time the ambulance arrived she had regained consciousness.

If anybody has any news on this lady I would be pleased to know if she is now fully recovered. BOB HAYDEN Priory Avenue
