EAST­COTE set up a pro­mo­tion crunch game against Ash­ford next Satur­day af­ter se­cur­ing three points against Ox­ford to leave them­selves one point be­hind Satur­day’s op­po­nents.

The Boars fell two goals be­hind af­ter a poor start, but Ben Thorpe and Gabriel Emery scored to go into half-time with hon­ours even.

Mark Al­li­son then scored to give the vis­i­tors the lead for the first time in the match be­fore Kevin Haigh net­ted to make it 4-2 with 10 min­utes left to play.

The hosts net­ted with min­utes re­main­ing, but East­cote held on to se­cure a vi­tal win in their pro­mo­tion push.

The sec­onds recorded a 4-1 win in their bat­tle to beat the drop against New­bury & Thatcham.

A brace from Isaac Hall and goals from Joe Snell and Kern Sorzano were enough to se­cure all three points.

Clare Dev­ereux (pic­tured), Lucy Laverss and a brace from He­len Wil­liams saw the Ladies first team beat Ted­ding­ton sec­onds 4-0, while East­cote sec­onds drew 1-1 with Har­row thanks to a Laura Hin­dle goal.

The mixed team beat Reigate Pri­ory 6-2 in the EH Tro­phy Round One with Kevin Haigh net­ting a hat­trick.
