Man arrested after biker dies in collision
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in Hayes, which claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
A BMW car collided with the rider in Shepiston Lane, close to the fire station, on Saturday February 20.
The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended but the male motorcyclist, aged 46, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed but formal identification has yet to take place.
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
The driver of the BMW, a 29-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was taken to a west London police station and bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late May.
