Short sentences and long scarves

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION - MRS B EARL Hamilton Crescent Harrow

READER Louise Frewin was inspired to reach for her camera after spotting this intriguing bird in her garden at Beachwood Avenue in Hillingdon.

The colourful character had been spotted flying around for a few days before venturing into the garden.

Send your photos to ros.collins@trinitymirror. com with Uxbridge picture of the week in the subject line and we’ll print the best ones.

Don’t forget to include your details. CAUSE For Concern:

As printed in the Daily Mail on Monday 8th February, our Prime Minister is contemplating keeping prisoners incarcerated at weekends only!

Ludicrous. Perhaps they should be given the key to the door and I thought (so did many others) that PRISON was supposed to be a place of punishment! Cause For Amusement: Two tall very attractive girls sat opposite me on the train.

Both sporting Dr Who-type scarves and the customary large hole in the knees of their jeans.

In unison, as they sat down, they wrapped the scarfs over their knees! Who do we have to thank for that

ridiculous fashion statement?
