Po­lice seize cannabis in morn­ing raid on flat

HILLING­DON Po­lice car­ried out a drug raid in Uxbridge High Street in a bid to send out the mes­sage that “drug deal­ing will not be tol­er­ated” in the bor­ough.

Two men were ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of pos­ses­sion of cannabis with in­tent to sup­ply af­ter po­lice searched the res­i­den­tial ad­dress on High Street, Uxbridge, on Fri­day morn­ing at 8am.

Uxbridge South Po­lice Con­sta­ble, PC Fowles, says Hilling­don Po­lice are ‘con­tin­u­ing the war on drugs’.

He said: “Cannabis was seized from the ad­dress as well as other items un­der the Pro­ceeds of Crime Act.

“Two peo­ple who were on the premises at the time have been ar­rested for pos­ses­sion of a Class B drug with in­tent to sup­ply and on sus­pi­cion of pos­ses­sion of crim­i­nal prop­erty.”

Both men re­main at a West Lon­don po­lice sta­tion and the po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion is on­go­ing.

PC Fowles tweeted a pic­ture of the af­ter­math of the morn­ing’s raid, with a strong mes­sage to drug deal­ers.
