St Swithun crowned borough champions
ST SWITHUN Wells RC Primary School will be turning out today (Wednesday) at the London Youth Games after being crowned Hillingdon Borough six-a-side champions.
A battling performance saw the side beat 56 other teams to win the title and earn their place in the London Youth Games.
The nine-boy squad initially won an 18-school Ruislip and Northwood competition before winning a tournament with Newham and the top two teams from Hayes and Harlington and North Hayes and Uxbridge to determine the right to represent the borough.
Underpinned by the formidable Oscar Adams in goal, sterling onfield efforts from Charlie Baird, Sonny Neagle, Emilio Slevin, Johnny Lavelle, Ruairi McLoughlin, James Edwards, George Abbott and Conor Tarrant saw the team through to the capital finals.
