Mash up your ideas
YOUNGSTERS from across west London are being asked to get creative for a spud-tacular modelling competition.
In celebration of the vegetable, e-garden centre Potter and Rest, want to see children from Hounslow and Hillingdon to Ealing and Hammersmith and Fulham, come up with fun ideas transforming the potato into anything from animals to famous faces.
To enter in the best looking potato contest take a selfie with your model spud or get someone to take the photo and send it in for a chance to win a £25 or £10 voucher.
Peter Burks, horticultural expert at
The Uxbridge Gazette Series Potter and Rest, said: “To celebrate the humble spud we thought it would be a great idea to get children creating their own models out of the vegetable.
“The potatoes can be modelled into absolutely anything the children wish, whether it’s famous faces or animals, the more creative the better!
“It would be great to see models made from potatoes that children have grown in their garden too.”
Send your photo via hello@ potterandrest.co.uk – the deadline for entries is Friday – so get snapping.
