Lon­don Mayor Boris John­son fes­ti­val to help you ex­plore Lon­don on your doorstep

AFESTIVAL aimed at get­ting Lon­don­ers to ex­plore the ar­eas they live in and the rest of the cap­i­tal will be­gin this week.

Find Your Lon­don will see hun­dreds of fun events, many of which are free, is tak­ing place through the city and west Lon­don un­til March 28.

The fes­ti­val is or­gan­ised by the Mayor of Lon­don in part­ner­ship with 44 or­gan­i­sa­tions rang­ing from the De­sign Mu­seum and Wood­land Trust to lo­cal orchard and en­vi­ron­men­tal groups.

Boris John­son said: “My new fes­ti­val cel­e­brates our city’s great out­door space from our much loved woods and parks, to our bustling high streets and town cen­tres.

“There are a smor­gas­bord of fes­ti­val events from search­ing for clues to lo­cate se­cret par­ties, launches of new mar­kets to his­tor­i­cal tours of our river sides.

“Lon­don is with­out a doubt one of the most fas­ci­nat­ing cities on earth and Find your Lon­don is the per­fect ex­cuse to get out and ex­plore the fan­tas­tic things to see and do in our glo­ri­ous city.”

FUL­HAM

His­tor­i­cal Tours March 27 12.30pm, 2pm Dis­cover Ful­ham Palace’s se­crets on this his­tor­i­cal tour. Start out­doors with the his­tory of the build­ing and gar­dens be­fore head­ing in­side to the Great Hall. Tour starts at mu­seum shop. Venue: Ful­ham Palace Bishop’s Av­enue, Lon­don SW6 6EA Cost: £6 per per­son or £5 if you present a Find Your Lon­don brochure. As­so­ciates and ac­com­pa­nied chil­dren free No book­ing re­quired.

Easter Trail at Ful­ham Palace March 27-28 1pm – 3.30pm This Easter the mu­seum and gar­den will be full of clues. Find them to win a choco­late egg. Chil­dren must be ac­com­pa­nied by an adult. Venue: Ful­ham Palace, Bishop’s Av­enue, Lon­don, SW6 6EA Cost: £2 per child No book­ing re­quired
