London Mayor Boris Johnson festival to help you explore London on your doorstep
AFESTIVAL aimed at getting Londoners to explore the areas they live in and the rest of the capital will begin this week.
Find Your London will see hundreds of fun events, many of which are free, is taking place through the city and west London until March 28.
The festival is organised by the Mayor of London in partnership with 44 organisations ranging from the Design Museum and Woodland Trust to local orchard and environmental groups.
Boris Johnson said: “My new festival celebrates our city’s great outdoor space from our much loved woods and parks, to our bustling high streets and town centres.
“There are a smorgasbord of festival events from searching for clues to locate secret parties, launches of new markets to historical tours of our river sides.
“London is without a doubt one of the most fascinating cities on earth and Find your London is the perfect excuse to get out and explore the fantastic things to see and do in our glorious city.”
Historical Tours March 27 12.30pm, 2pm Discover Fulham Palace’s secrets on this historical tour. Start outdoors with the history of the building and gardens before heading inside to the Great Hall. Easter Trail at Fulham Palace March 27-28 1pm – 3.30pm This Easter the museum and garden will be full of clues. Find them to win a chocolate egg. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Venue: Fulham Palace, Bishop’s Avenue, London, SW6 6EA Cost: £2 per child No booking required
Cricklewood Spring – Traditional Bonnet parade, Egg Hunt and Eggstra fun activities March 28 1pm – 4pm Come and celebrate Cricklewood’s heritage. Learn about the old Midland Brent railway, Clitterhouse Farm buildings and Millennium Green. Enjoy fun Easter activities and much more.
