THOROUGHLY Modern Millie comes to Ruislip in a ‘fabulous’ show
It’s 1922 and Millie Dillmount, an ambitious girl from Kansas, comes to New York hoping to fall in love, marry a man and make her fortune.
In this fast-paced production, Ruislip Operatic Society (ROS) celebrate the music and moves of the Roaring Twenties.
Following on from a sell-out production of Sister Act in 2015, Thoroughly Modern Millie will bring the jazz era to Ruislip under the direction of Debbie Day, with a 25-strong cast.
The title character, Millie Dillmount, is played by Helen Sheppard-Bools, in her first lead role with ROS.
Ms Sheppard-Bools said: “I am having a ball as Millie. The costumes are wonderful, the music and dancing is fabulous. I am sure the audience will have as much fun as we have”.
Thoroughly Modern Millie plays at the Winston Churchill Theatre in Ruislip from Wednesday April 6 to Saturday April 9.
Tickets cost from £13 and can be purchased from the box office on 07905 932 366, or via the website: www. ruislipos.org.
