Four deny charges after brawl
FOUR people have appeared in court over a mass brawl at Hounslow Heath, which left five people in hospital.
Brian McDonagh, 20; Charles McDonagh, 23; Charlie McDonagh, 42; and a 17-year-old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, all appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday, March 31.
The quartet, all of whom live in Manor Waye, Uxbridge , are each charged with one count of violent disorder and one of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
They all denied the charges, except for Brian McDonagh, who has yet to enter a plea pending a hearing at the court on April 28, when he will attempt to have them dismissed.
The other defendants are due to return to the court for trial in the week beginning June 27.
Police were called to Staines Road, Hounslow, on the morning of Sunday, February 28, to reports of a fight.
The fight took place near to a car boot sale taking place that morning, though the organiser has said it did not happen on the premises.
Police have been monitoring car boot sales at the site since the incident, and a ban on the sale of power tools has been imposed.
Officers said five people aged between 17 and 42 required treatment at hospital for injuries including a broken leg and a stab wound.
