Get booked in for lit­er­ary fes­ti­val

WILL Self, Ken Liv­ing­stone, Ben­jamin Zepha­niah ( pic­tured) and Shappi Khor­sandi are among those who will be tak­ing to the stage for this year’s Hilling­don Lit­er­ary Fes­ti­val.

It might be months away but lovers of lit­er­a­ture may want to book­mark Fri­day Oc­to­ber 7 to Sun­day Oc­to­ber 9 for the an­nual fes­ti­val that will take place at Brunel Univer­sity Lon­don’s cam­pus in Kingston Road, Uxbridge.

Will Self and Ben­jamin Zepha­niah – both Brunel aca­demics – will make a wel­come re­turn af­ter last year’s suc­cess­ful fes­ti­val and will be joined by for­mer Mayor of Lon­don Ken Liv­ing­stone, come­di­enne Shappi Khor­sandi, au­thor’s Sa­man­tha Shan­non, Matt Haig, Matthew de Anaitua and Thomas Glave, poet Ros Bar­ber, jour­nal­ists Suzi Feay, Alexan­der Waugh and Ann Mor­gan, tele­vi­sion di­rec­tor Rick Stroud and Bill Leahy, Deputy vice Chan­cel­lor of the univer­sity.

Au­thor events will be sup­ple­mented by fes­ti­val stalls, in­clud­ing the po­etry take­away and crafts and ar­ti­san food.
