Get booked in for literary festival
WILL Self, Ken Livingstone, Benjamin Zephaniah ( pictured) and Shappi Khorsandi are among those who will be taking to the stage for this year’s Hillingdon Literary Festival.
It might be months away but lovers of literature may want to bookmark Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9 for the annual festival that will take place at Brunel University London’s campus in Kingston Road, Uxbridge.
Will Self and Benjamin Zephaniah – both Brunel academics – will make a welcome return after last year’s successful festival and will be joined by former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, comedienne Shappi Khorsandi, author’s Samantha Shannon, Matt Haig, Matthew de Anaitua and Thomas Glave, poet Ros Barber, journalists Suzi Feay, Alexander Waugh and Ann Morgan, television director Rick Stroud and Bill Leahy, Deputy vice Chancellor of the university.
Author events will be supplemented by festival stalls, including the poetry takeaway and crafts and artisan food.
