Photography showcase

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

PORTRAITS, architecture, street photography, nature and landscapes are some of the themes set to feature at a photo club’s next exhibition.

Southlands Photo Club is only in its second year and this exhibition will cover personal experiences from members who will display photos that tell a story of the local environment; with its landscape nature and local people.

Last year the youngest exhibitor was just 16 and this year the seven-year-old son of a club member will be exhibiting his photos with other members ranging into their seventies.

Arthur Rooks who has worked on art exhibitions for over 25 years and curates the Southlands Art Exhibitions, is helping to get the photographs hung, ready for the opening.

The exhibition at Southlands Arts Centre, West Drayton runs on Saturday May 7 from noon to 6pm and coincides with the May Fayre on the Green in West Drayton.

All of the photographers showcasing their work in the exhibition will be present at some point to talk about their works. The exhibition continues from Monday to Saturday noon to 6pm.

All proceeds raised from the West London Photo Exhibition will be donated to The Southlands Arts Centre.
